Swim Team

1. Welcome current and future Dolphins! We are happy to welcome our new Head Coach Owen Bloink and assistant coaches soon to come.
2. To register, we will be using MemberSplash.
   • If you need assistance, please reach out to me at recreation@burtonhollowswim.com.  Please fill out the form no later than May 15, 2026 with your MemberSplash payment. The cost this year is $90.00 per swimmer (capped at $240 per family) which includes a swim cap, a 2025 BHSC T-shirt, and end-the-season banquet entry for your entire family.
   • Please be aware that early sign up allows us to better prepare for this swim season. This year, shirt sizes will be guaranteed for all kids who are registered before May 15th. After that, sizes won’t be guaranteed, so please register early.
3. We will have a swim team welcome meeting as the season starts. We will keep you updated on a date for this! We would love all the swimmers and parents to join us to find out the exciting plans for our 2026 swim season! You will meet the coaches and re-connect with your swim team friends. The coaches and coordinator will be on hand for Q&A for this swim season. The kickoff is for all new and returning families, so please attend. Different Strokes, a local swim equipment store will be onsite to fit our swimmers with our team suits and have swim gear to purchase. The team suits will be the same as last year.
4. Practices are held Monday-Friday* mornings.  Practice times are below.
   • 7:30am-9:00am: 13 & Up (and/or Higher-level swimmers)
   • 9:00am-10:00am: 9-12 (and/or Mid-Level swimmers)
   • 10:00am-11:00am: 8 & Under (and/or swimmers who need initial skill development)
   • *Fun Friday’s 8am-9am optional swim training and 9am-10:00am fun swim team activities.
5. Coach Owen will be using a Google Form to track what swim meets your swimmer(s) can attend. Google sheet will be posted as season gets closer.  In addition, Coach Owen is recommending each family purchase a pair of fins for their swimmer to improve their own swimming. 6. Swim Meet timing remains the same. Warm up begins at 5:00pm and swimmers should be at the pool no later than 4:45pm. The swim meet will start sharply at 6:00pm.
7. EVERY FAMILY MUST VOLUNTEER TO WORK 3 SHIFTS THIS SEASON AND PROVIDE ONE DONATION. Volunteers are critical to the successful running of the swim meets. There will be a fine of $100 if you do not volunteer at least twice or reach out to the Swim Team Coordinator(s) to make other arrangements in advance. That payment will be due before your child is able to swim in league meet or assessed to your account for the following year. As in past years there will be a Sign-Up Genius for volunteer shifts which will also include a description for each volunteer role. Please sign up for all shifts before June 20th.
8. Team and individual pictures will be taken during the season prior to one of our home swim meets.
9. Private swimming lessons are optional and available. Please see coaches for more details if interested.
10. Swim Team Volunteer Needs. If you are able, we will need assistance in coordinating the following events:
    • Meet & Greet Team Party
    • Fire Up Breakfast
    • Swim Team Banquet
    • Concession Stand at our home swim meets
